Vegan Spread with Grilled Peppers, Smoked Tofu and Olives
The selection of vegan spreads, sausages and cheeses now leaves almost nothing to be desired. Vegan minced meat? Vegan liver sausage? Vegan camembert? It's all there! Nevertheless, we still really enjoy making many things ourselves that you can buy ready-made. Presenting and tasting a homemade spread at a really good snack with family and friends is simply something different from just putting bought products on the table.
We have, therefore, come up with a recipe for a spread made from smoked tofu, grilled peppers, and olives, which is perfect for an evening or morning snack. For the preparation, we used the Smoked Tofu from Taifun Tofu, which is made from 100% organic ingredients and whose soybeans come exclusively from Germany, Austria and France. We always have Taifun's tofu varieties in our fridge because they are absolute basics that we can never do without.
In addition to tofu, water and coagulant, it also contains soy sauce and beechwood smoke. They give the tofu a great savory taste. To be honest, we could just cut the smoked tofu into slices and eat it like this, but it also tastes really, really delicious on salads, pasta, rice and potatoes.
So, why not make your own spread again? Not only will you be able to taste it exactly how you like to eat it, but you'll also get a few surprised "Ohhhhs" at the table. Jackpot!
